As the largest private landholders in shale areas across the nation, farmers are being approached by companies eager to extract oil and gas from beneath their properties. Already, some are regretting it.

Cher -
780 million people in the world do not have access to clean water, that is two and a half times the size of the United States. The water or the world act is one of the most influence pieces of legislation presented to congress due to the severity

Which is also why it is so very very Foolish to waste what fresh water we have on the practice of  'Fracking'.

Part II--The Environment--Save the Environment From Fracking!!!

Dear Readers, I would also like to add this e-mail to today's post--who knows if there are enough Ohioans signing, maybe--just maybe even Gov. Kasich will notice and decide to join the Right Side of History--A.K.A.--The Environmental Side.
As the natural gas boom continues, the industry is now looking for additional ways to profit from shale gas, even if it means more fracking. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is the form of natural gas the industry hopes to export regardless of how much damage it does.

Right now, DOE is conducting a study to decide if we should start exporting fracked LNG. Unfortunately, they are only evaluating the business-side economics of exports, not the environmental and public health effects of fracking. It is critical that this study examine the entire picture, from the effects of a fracking well in Pennsylvania or Colorado to the construction of pipeline to carry LNG to a coastal export facility in Louisiana or Washington State.
Please tell President Obama that this study does not look at the full picture, and that the public health and environmental costs of LNG must be part of the decision. I did!

The Ohio Republican Party Is At It--Yet Again!

Dear Readers, I am passing on this snail mail letter that came to my mail box, because the Ohio Republican Party is too stupid to understand that the Republican of the Family passed away almost 3 years ago, now.

"I am someone who takes threats seriously..."

..."So when hundreds of people showed up at Democrat victory parties all across Ohio on November 6th with signs reading--'KASICH...You're Next'...."

"I knew right then we can't lose a minute in preparing for another bruising political battle in Ohio."

"The immediate and vast display of anti-Kasich signs snt a strong, clear message that our opponents--desperate to return to power in Columbus--are not going to rest a minate."

Well, Bob Bennett of the Ohio Republican Party--"...has great faith that, just he (John Kasich) did in 2012, he'll convince Ohioans that he is the man to lead our stat in these challenging times...."

REALITY CHECK--REALITY CHECK--There was not that many Victory Parties for President Obama or For Sen Sherrod Brown--After all, I was invited to a watch party, which I was told I could attend after work, but by the time I got there--Everyone had already went home.

And then, there is this-->

Already people are starting to read the tea leaves about 2014 and who will be running for governor of Ohio.
The only sure thing is that our current governor is a failure. During the campaign, he said he wouldn't run for a second term, and I believe that's true. I honestly don't see increased popularity on the horizon for him and he can make 10 or 15 or 20 times as much going back to Fox "News" and making speeches for big dollars to adoring right-wing groups. He'll try to give away as much taxpayer property as he can to his cronies as quickly as he can and head out the door to greener pastures. I don't see him trying for another term.
That leaves secretary of state Jon Husted, whose tongue is practically hanging out of his mouth salivating over this. (Anyone remember him blasting Maryellen O'Shaughnessy for her alleged ambition for higher office?) He seems to already be angling to put as much space between himself and the toxic Kasich as he can, anticipating like the rest of us, that Kasich won't change his spots and won't get any more popular.
Then, there is the Fact that This is the First Campaign Literature that I have received concerning the Governor's Race of 2014--After all, the Democratic Party is too busy doing the jobs that they have been re-elected to--to start campaigning, yet.

As Far As Bob Bennett's preparations--What he should have said--instead of this Republican propaganda--is that he is preparing to make this election as dirty and as nasty as the previous election--after all, this letter proves that he is starting his 'war chest' early enough to do more than enough mud slinging.

One good thing came out of Gov. Kasich first and hopefully only term as Gov. of Ohio--He successfully united Us Independents with the Democrats against a common enemy;himself--for all the damage that he has done to our environment and for the damage he tried to do to our economy and for the credit that he tried to claim for saving the economy of Ohio, which would have been a disaster IF HIS STATE ISSUE #2 WOULD HAVE PASSED. WE THE PEOPLE OF OHIO FOUGHT TO SAVE THE ECONOMY FROM HIM--BUT YET--THAT FACT DOES NOT PREVENT HIM FROM TRYING TO STEAL THE CREDIT.

Part III--Hold the GOP--Greedy Opponents of Progress Accountable in Ohio.

Dear Readers, I am passing this e-mail on because it is far too important not to. NOTICE THE MARGIN OF DIFFERENCE IS 14 AND THE NUMBER OF PROVISIONAL BALLOTS IS 114!!!!
This week in Tuscarawas County, a recount in a Statehouse race is taking place that will determine whether Governor Kasich and Republicans get a supermajority in the Ohio Legislature. Think about all the damage Republicans could do here in Ohio with that sort of power.
As of today, we're 15 votes down - and Secretary Husted has helped toss more than 100 provisional ballots that could make the difference in this race. We're also paying close attention to another recount that's ongoing in Cuyahoga County.
A day or two ago, Rachel Maddow explained everything about these recounts. Please take a moment to watch, then help us hold Husted accountable, and stop Governor Kasich in his tracks:

Part II--In Continuing Support of Mr. Bob Costas and Gun Control.

https://salsa.wiredforchange.com/o/5754/images/COSTAS-SHARE-2-40-percent.jpgNBC Sportscaster Bob Costas never planned to be in the spotlight for talking about common sense gun laws. But if his critics think they can scare him into being quiet, they are sorely mistaken.

Even after people like Glenn Beck and Ted Nugent tried to discourage him, Costas has done interview after interview making it clear that he stands by what he said on Sunday Night Football.

On the O'Reilly Factor on Wednesday night, Costas shared the hard truth: roughly 40% of gun sales in this country don’t have to go through a background check under federal law.

And on MSNBC, he said that even if people disagree with him, talking about gun violence is a conversation our country needs to have.

If we don’t have this national conversation, our leaders will not do what it takes to prevent the 34 gun murders in America every day, even though respecting the Second Amendment goes hand in hand with keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

THIS--THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE REPUBLICAN PARTY--THIS IS WHY THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN VOTED OUT OF OFFICE ---GOD SAVE THE U.S.A. FROM THE GOP!!!!!!

Pelosi slams House GOP for taking break amid debt talks
Pelosi Rips House GOP for Breaking (ABC News)House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi today ripped House Republicans for scheduling a five-day break amid the " fiscal cliff" debate, asking why the chamber is not in session "trying to build confidence" and "find common ground" with only 26 days left until a mix of steep tax hikes and spending cuts take effect.
"Here we are, Thursday in December. The talk around here is what's going on at the negotiating table. Is anything going on at the negotiating table?" Pelosi, D-Calif., wondered at her weekly news conference. "I can't even explain to my constituents why Congress isn't in session now trying to at least build bridges of understanding and representing."
The GOP-controlled House concluded legislative business Wednesday afternoon after a light floor schedule this week. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor cancelled one day of legislative business previously scheduled for today, and also cut next Friday from the calendar. Cantor, however, announced Wednesday that he has added an unspecified number of days to the legislative calendar the week of Dec. 17.

THIS--THIS--This is what is WRONG with the Republican Party. This is how the Republican Party proves itself as the party of Greed and Corruption. This is Why--this Independent voted a straight Democrat Ticket, this election for the first time ever, even though I have been voting since 1979.

REPUBLICANS IF--IF THIS SO-CALLED FISCAL CLIFF IS SO DAMNED IMPORTANT THEN WHY-OH, WHY THE 5 DAY BREAK?????? IS NOT THIS THE TIME TO BE BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL???  AND THESE REPUBLICANS CALL THEMSELVES 'PATRIOTS'????

IF ONLY--IF ONLY I was as active in the Congressional Campaign as I was in the Presidential and Senate Races, Maybe--Just maybe my Congressional Seat would not have to one of those Good For Nothing--Greedy A$$ Republicans--TO THINK THAT I HAVE EVER VOTED REPUBLICAN--GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
