The controversial drilling process known as "fracking" may release harmful gases into the atmosphere which could cause headaches and breathing difficulties, up to half a mile away, research has found.

Hydraulic fracturing or fracking has the potential to generate enormous profits for drilling firms because it releases shale gas, a cheaper alternative to importing expensive fossil fuels from abroad.

But it is bitterly opposed by environmental groups which claim the method could contaminate groundwater, pollute the atmosphere and trigger earthquakes.

Fracking, which involves injecting water, sand and chemicals into shale beds at high pressure, is already under way in Lancashire and oil firms are examining sites in Sussex, Surrey and Kent. . . .

As the price of gasoline increases, the practice of 'fracking' spreads, along with the aftermath, along with all the dangers.
What the world needs is to the development of safer reusable energy and conservation.

Outrage, protests grow over shooting of unarmed Florida teen

Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- Outrage over the killing of an unarmed Florida teen rippled nationwide as supporters planned more protests Wednesday and a petition demanding the shooter's arrest amassed nearly 1 million signatures.

Trayvon Martin was fatally shot on February 26 while walking to the house of his father's fiancee in Sanford after a trip to a convenience store.

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch leader, said he killed the teen in self defense.

Nearly 750,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org demanding Zimmerman's arrest, making it one of the website's largest campaigns. . . . .

That is one petition and when all the petitions are added together, the numbers become much much higher. After all, all the petitions that this blogger knows of are 3, then again, being in Ohio, which is a good distance from Florida--There could be many more petitions floating around. After all, when people see such a gross INJustice like this--There is a need to take action and to fight back--To Fight For Justice.
