I meant to blog several times, but then, lost my nerve.

Mandela and Environmental Justice:

It was March 24, 1995. Nelson Mandela had been President for just under a year. That night, he was speaking at an event at the Engen Refinery in South Durban. As his motorcade drew close to the oil refinery’s gate, a group of people were protesting. He did not ask the driver to speed up, or to pull down the shades. Instead, he stopped his whole entourage, got out of his car and said to his security team, “These are my people. Please stand aside. I want to listen to my people!”.... I was going to write so much, but then, I remembered that it was all in hindsight. After all, sadly at the time I was busy with other things than world politics. I wish I was smart enough to have paid more attention to this great man when he was alive and doing--but now it is for us the living to continue the work that the great people have started---the Environment--OUR PLANET Is worth Saving. Then, Again, This Did Happen in Texas where the Religious Right and the Republicans Rule---if only one of those people were a pregnant woman and at least one of those people the child that she was expecting then their life would have been worth fighting for---if only---NOT!!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHY WE NEED TO KEEP THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THE SECULAR NATION THAT OUR FOUNDING FATHERS FORMED--THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE--THE CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS ARE THE DOCUMENTS THAT GOVERN OUR NATION---WE ADD ONE HOLY BOOK THEN WE MUST ALL ALL HOLY BOOKS. After all, the First Amendment is for All Citizens no matter what their beliefs are--even if it is only that they will have one more beer or coffee or whatever.   This Christian Exceptionalism is the Cancer that can destroy the Body of Christ which is why it must end--This is why we find so few young adults in churches.  Our young people are not this narrow-minded and bigoted, they are intolerant of haters, though, which is why many have left churches. By the way, I am sorry that there is no petition--at least, one that I found--for those who could and did find one--please pass it on to me--THANK YOU!

Woman’s Life Endangered Because She Sought Treatment at a Catholic Hospital

In 2012, the world learned of the case of Savita Halappanavar, a pregnant woman in Ireland who died because a Catholic hospital refused to allow her to terminate the pregnancy of her 17 week fetus once she began miscarrying. Savita’s death sparked a roaring debate in the country over their abortion law, which is so strict that a patient literally could die while waiting for doctors to determine whether her life is in jeopardy enough to allow a procedure.

Here in America, even with legal abortion, some are still facing the same life or death situations, all because they have the misfortune to have a Catholic hospital as their nearest caregiver. It is because of this that the American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). READ MORE!!!!

This is how the Religious Right Takes the Joy of Christmas out of Christmas and then wonder why fewer and fewer young people attend Christian Churches. The act as if Jesus gave them the right to judge and condemn the world, which makes Jesus look U-G-L-Y--INSTEAD THE BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR--AT THE SAME TIME WHINING AND CRYING THAT THER ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO CELEBRATE DIFFERENT HOLIDAYS THAN CHRISTMAS---THIS TIME OF THE YEAR THE BEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE EACH OTHER AND TO JESUS HIMSELF--IS TOLORANCE--FOR IS IT NOT WRITTEN THAT GOD IS LOVE . 

I remember leaning how Free Will is our Gift back to God. It was a lesson my younger son taught me at a Professional Wrestling Match that I took him to, since the WWE was in Cleveland around Christmas that year.  I remember he was 17 at the time, there was a Diva Bikini Contest, many men were going ring side to get a better view. I wanted to be the cool, with it, Mom, so I pointed out the fact that if he wanted to join the others at ring side that he was free to. Then, he turned around and told me that he knew that, but he would just rather watch the contest next to me, instead, and placed his arm over my shoulders as we watched the contest--then I understood free will--THIS IS THE GIFT THAT GOD GETS WHEN SOMEONE CHOSES HIM, NOT BY FORCE NOT BY COHERTION--BUT BY FREE WILL--WHEN IT IS DONE THOSE WAYS IT IS FOR OUR OWN PERSONAL SELFISH GLORY--GLORY THAT WE HAVE STOLEN FROM GOD.

In Addition--THIS IS THE REAL SLIPPERY SLOPE--FIRST RESTRICT LEGAL ABORTIONS THEN END ALL LEGAL ABORTIONS--EVEN THOSE FROM RAPE AND INCEST AND AT THE COST OF THE MOTHER'S LIFE. AND THEN TAKE AWAY A WOMAN'S PERSONHOOD. 

THIS--THIS IS WHY ABORTIONS DO NEED TO BE KEPT LEGAL, SAFE AND RARE--THE BEST WAY TO KEEP IT RARE IS BY LIVABLE INCOME--WHEN PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO HAVE CHILDREN THEN THEY HAVE CHILDREN.  FULL EMPLOYMENT THAT PAYS THE BILLS = THE WAY AND THE MEANS TO START A FAMILY.

BEGINNING WITH OHIO'S GOVERNOR JOHN KASICH AND EACH AND EVERY MEMBER OF OHIO' S STATE HOUSE. WE THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OHIO NEED AND MUST TAKE BACK COLUMBUS!!!! After that, then we can an will see which state senators and state reps actually factually serve the people and not the big business of coal and oil and gas- ALONG WITH THOSE WHOM WE WILL SEND  BACK TO WASHINGTON D.C. OR NOT----FOSSIL FUEL WAS SO 20TH CENTURY--IT IS TIME THAT WE MOVE ON!!!! YESTERDAY WAS NICE, BUT WE MUST LIVE IN TODAY AND LOOK FORWARD TO TOMARROW.
