HAPPY NEW YEAR---2014

As yet another year comes to an end, an new year begins with the promise of a new beginning, which is why I suppose so very many of us make New Year's Resolutions--Goals for the new year. I know, for I am one. With this new year, that for me means an 'empty nest'. My older son is right now in the process of moving into his own apartment, while my younger son never left the old homestead of Garfield Heights, Ohio.

My goals are either a second part-time job or a full-time job, since I can not continue to live off my savings. This is why I post about job and job seeking. After all, we are all in this economy together, the more people who are fully employed, one way or another, the better it is for everyone.  We the Middle Class are the True Backbone of Society, which is why we need and must support each other.

My other goals are to complete my Accounting Course and increase my grade point average. My older son says I am doing pretty good, but I am hoping to do better. Yes, I understand that 85% on an exam is pretty good, but my sights are for higher and better. Speaking of studies, my Accounting even took over my Spanish time, which I hope to go back to this coming year.

My next goal is to manage my time better, keep up with studies, and yet also keep up with my gym membership and the blog better than I have of late. In addition, to adding to my family. I have not told my sons yet, but as soon as it is possible, I plan on going to the nearest shelter and adopting a cat, whose picture I plan on posting.  This also will be an interesting adventure, since the reason that I can write so little about my sons is because if I wrote more about them--I would be in big trouble, since they both have images and reputations to maintain.

Wow, this will be quite an adventure--I have never lived alone before. After all, my mother died when I was a young adult. After she died, I was told over and over that the last thing I should do was to move away from my father, because he never lived alone before and needed taking care of--otherwise known as someone to do the cooking, cleaning and laundry.

Finally, I remember once upon a time, I was on fire for the Lord. I remember singing>>COME AS YOU ARE TO WORSHIP.... Now so much of Christianity is about THE LAW--THE LAW--THE LAW---I MISS GRACE--Once upon a time Jesus came to call his followers In Grace and In Truth--Now so much of Christianity is Ruled By the Religious Right that more and more of the Joy is sucked out, along with the Peace, Love, and Charity--well the charity is still there, but now it feels more like bribes for coming.  Lord, Forgive Me, Jesus, but I do not want the job of telling anyone else how to live their lives, unless they are causing harm to others.  As it was talked about on LinkedIn, we all have the need to be Understood and Accepted, so let us all work hard at Understanding others and Accepting Others, who knows, we just might get some of that Understanding and Acceptance, back--in return.

Here is to An Happy and Safe and Blessed New Year for one and ALL!!! :-)  :-)

As An other year draws to an end--I continue to question my faith--Dear Jesus, if you really do love the world so much then please--please tell your followers to please please stop lying and stop bullying--please it makes you (Jesus) look so very Ugly.

Pharmacies Are Giving inaccurate Information About Plan B to Teens

There are some people out there who really don’t want young women to have access to contraception. A new study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health has found that a good chunk of pharmacies aren’t giving teens the right information about emergency contraception.
Posing as 17-year-old girls, the researchers called 940 pharmacies in Nashville, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Austin, and Portland, OR. What they found is both shocking and entirely unsurprising, if that’s possible. The researchers posing as teens were told by 20 percent of the pharmacies they called that teens couldn’t get an emergency contraceptive at all. This, of course, is untrue. In addition, only about half of the remaining 80 percent got the age requirement right.
This study was completed before the age restriction was lifted for one type of emergency contraception, Plan B One-Step. I’d like to give pharmacies the benefit of the doubt. As Think Progress reports, there is still a brand of EC that requires women of all ages to get a prescription. But really, it’s the pharmacy’s job to know this kind of thing, so giving them the benefit of the doubt is probably letting them off too easy.
Besides, there seemed to be a lot of general confusion surrounding Plan B that just shouldn’t be there. According to Think Progress,

Plan B is needed as long as the Crime of Rape and Incest still happen--Giving Women no choice but to continue a pregnancy that was forced onto them should be a Crime--IF God is a Loving Father Then as a Loving Father--He should--He would understand that--if only LOVE CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN AND NOT ONLY JUDGMENT AND CONDEMNATION---IF ONLY.

THANK YOU RELIGIOUS RIGHT FOR REMINDING US WHY WE SHOULD NOT OUT LIE OUT CHEAT--OUT STEAL THE LORD THY GOD.

Happy Holidays--Thank You, Christian Fundamentalist for Taking the Joy out of Christmas--NOT!!!! But Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings to you too.

With so much going on--I confess--I am not really in a festive mood--I guess my Holiday Mood started going down hill when I was approached by a customer, who was so eager to fight against the imaginary war of Christmas that he could not or would not see that it is not real, so I got stuck there being told that I must not know the difference between a Christian song and a Winter song--As If Jesus called His Followers to be Judges and Bullies.
Then to make things even worst, at last week's Adult Bible Class, in the video we were watching the host made a point at stopping at chicafila to stop for food and to mock vegetarians--FOR THE LOVE OF MERCY IF GOD REALLY SO LOVED THE WORLD WHY OH WHY DO I SEE AND FEEL NOTHING BUT HATE AND INTOLERANCE FLOWING FROM SO MANY CHRISTIANS???  THIS IS WHY I AM NOT REALLY IN A HOLIDAY MOOD--GOT STUCK WITH TOO MANY CHRISTIANS.
BTW, Daniel the Prophet was a Vegetarian too--so let us stop judging others by what they eat. After all, if meat eating is an entry requirement for heaven--then maybe I will opt out too.

today's action This Season's 5 Biggest Scrooges Attack The Poor

The year 2013 leaves us with some shocking and greedy political quotes. So, which politicians make the top 5 Scrooges?

Representative Jack Klingston was caught shaming students for relying on federal aid to eat their school lunches. He boldly claimed poor kids receiving help so they can afford lunch must be bad for their self esteem. The quick fix? Have the children work janitorial duties to pay for their daily trip to the cafeteria so they don't grow up believing there's such thing as "a free lunch."

For today's Daily Action, celebrate the end of 2013 by checking out these top 5 Scrooges.

alternative action Protect Patients: Give Them Coverage They Deserve
Medicare patients have two different classifications: inpatient, and outpatient. These terms don't mean much to many of us. To others, they are the difference between tens of thousands of dollars in undeserved medical bills, and legitimate insurance coverage.

For today's Secondary Action, end the harmful use of observation status in hospitals.

Here is to wishing Our Beloved President Barack H. Obama a Merry and Blessed Christmas--from one very grateful voter in Ohio.

As A United States Citizen Who Now Has Health Care--Thanks To President Barack H. Obama--I would like to invite as many as possible to join with me in Wishing Our Beloved President a Merry and Blessed Christmas--with the Best Christmas Present of them All--Voting The Party Of No Out of Office WheSign the card:re They Serve Only The Best Interest of the Very Few And Very Greedy>>>>>

TIME TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT--INTOLERANCE CAN NOT NOR SHALL NOT WIN THE DAY--JESUS DID NOT COME TO PREACH HATE---THE BATTLE IS ON>>>>>>>

After Watching a Video in Adult Bible class where the preach conveniently stopped at Chic-a-fil-a --Otherwise known as free advertising for God only knows how many Bible Classes--They have some nerve to pull this BULL SHIT--HOW GREEDY AND CORUPT IS HIS JESUS--NOT!!! SO PLEASE SIGN AND FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT--WE MUST SAVE CHRISTIANITY FROM RIGHT WING WINGNUTS WHICH WOULD DESTROY IT--BY CHANGING GOD FROM THE GOD OF LOVE TO THE FATHER OF INTOLERANCE.......while mocking Vegetarians. As if it is right for Christians to mock others, but God forbid anyone treat a Christian like a Christian treats others--then that becomes persecution--fight the good fight against Christian hypocrisy by signing and sharing this petition>>>>>>>>

Chick-fil-A is still bullying Vermont artist Bo Muller-Moore to stop using the slogan “Eat More Kale.” Corporate bullies shouldn’t be allowed to ruin small businesses because of frivolous trademark claims.
The U.S. Trademark Office recently issued a preliminary rejection to Muller-Moore because Chick-fil-A claims that consumers would be confused with its slogan “Eat Mor Chikin.” When the Trademark Office issues a permanent ruling soon, Muller-Moore may face years of legal battles. We can stop this corporate bullying by demanding Chick-fil-A withdraw its opposition before the next Trademark Office decision.
Corporations should give its customers the benefit of the doubt. As intelligent consumers, we can tell the difference between a piece of chicken and green, leafy kale. Just as we stood up against NestlĂ©’s attempt to patent uses of the fennel flower, let’s stand up to Chick-fil-A and corporate bullying to support the little guy and kale!

Say No to Corporate Bullying: Tell Chick-fil-A to withdraw its opposition to the slogan “Eat More Kale.”

Bo Muller-Moore sold his Eat More Kale t-shirts for over 13 years at music festivals and farmers’ markets. Chick-fil-A threatened Muller-Moore with a cease-and-desist letter -- but he hasn’t backed down. When Muller-Moore filed a trademark application to protect his slogan and small business, Chick-fil-A submitted a letter of protest resulting in a preliminary rejection from the Trademark office.
Chick-fil-A has threatened more than thirty other artists and small businesspeople over the years with similarly-silly suits, threatening them with high-powered lawyers and court costs that would send almost anyone under. With its deep pockets and limitless amounts of time, Chick-fil-A can afford to wait out smaller players and drive them into the ground -- but we can put pressure on Chick-fil-A to make sure the little guy wins. Starbucks just lost a legal battle against a small coffee shop that sells a coffee blend called Mr. Charbucks, and we can win here too.

Muller-Moore appealed the ruling and fears a drawn-out and costly legal battle. If the Trademark Office doesn’t change its mind, Muller-Moore faces years in court, just like in the Starbucks/Charbucks case. We can't allow corporations to bully average Joes and claim ownership over everything through spurious patents and trademarks, especially something like a small-town artist’s quirky slogan.
Thanks for all you do,
Hanna, Marie and the team at SumOfUs

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PETITION--PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE--THANK YOU!!

Meet MaMaCat

Character counterpart: A maternal character who welcomes all into her home
Bright future: Was adopted after she was found to be pregnant
Cares about: The rights, respect, and care of all animals

MaMaCat cares about animals like Arden, a chimp who no longer spends her life behind bars. Watch her story, and become a Humane Hero for animals»

After all, just because there are no more children does not mean we have to be alone.

I do not know whom I will adopt when the time comes, but he or she will be a cat. After all, I am a firm believer that the number of cats should not exceed the number of the cats staff--I am only one person so that equals only one cat.

And for the dog lovers--don't forget--dogs are adoptable too.
