Dear Readers, let us not merely get angry about the lie and deception of so-called 'Voter Fraud' let us take action against it, before the Republicans can steal yet another election. 

That is why I am passing on this e-mail and petition for your consideration.

Republicans love to point to “voter fraud” to justify their efforts to restrict voting rights. To hear them tell it, there are hoards of walking dead “zombie voters” out there casting ballots as part of an elaborate Democratic voter fraud conspiracy.

So when South Carolina’s Republican governor Nikki Haley ordered her State Law Enforcement Division to turn up all the instances of voter fraud in her state guess what they found?

Zero cases of voter fraud. Nada. Zilch.

That’s right. After Governor Haley spent millions of taxpayer dollars trying to prove that voter fraud exists, her law enforcement division couldn’t find a single recent instance of fraud.

We didn’t need a multi-million dollar report to tell us that voter fraud was a myth perpetuated by Republicans for their own political gain, but these inconvenient facts aren’t going to change their cynical strategy.

According to the New York Times, “State officials across the South are aggressively moving ahead with new laws requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls after the Supreme Court decision striking down a portion of the Voting Rights Act.”

We have to stop “photo ID” and other voter suppression laws from taking effect, before thousands of Democratic-leaning voters are effectively disenfranchised.

Add your name to demand that Governor Haley finally admit that "widespread voter fraud" is nothing more than a politically convenient myth.

It’s not just about requiring voters to obtain new government IDs that are difficult to obtain and cost money in many cases—Republican governors are also closing early voting windows, changing registration laws, and ramming through other barriers to voting.

The recent Supreme Court decision only makes it more urgent that we act now, before it’s too late.

As if we need our young people settling for minimum wage jobs, instead of getting a college degree and getting higher paying jobs. We need as many people as possible to climb out of poverty.  What these Republicans Are Too Greedy and Corrupt to understand is the Rich 1% ARE NOT the backbone of society. After all, even the poorest underdeveloped nation has a few who are very rich, but yet they receive charity from developed nations. The True Backbone Of Society Is the Middle Class and The Middle Class Family, in all its colors, forms and religions.  When we take from the Middle Class to Give to the Rich, All of Society Will Suffer.

This is also why this blog fights for Truth and Justice= Against Christian Extremism. After all, it seems to me that the one and only reason that so many would be against a living minimum wage and against affordable health care is that their extremism has gotten so bad that the only way to get anyone through their doors is if they are hungry enough to do almost anything for food, even sit through one of their hate filled sermons.

This is why the vote is so very important--Far More Important than who owns a gun or not, because the Pen (Vote) is Still far more powerful than any mere sword.

Dear readers, that is why we need to fight the Good Fight against Voter Fraud. After all, the Republican Party has learned one lesson, they can not win elections without lying, cheating or stealing. They do not seem to care how Ugly or Evil this makes Jesus look.

The U.S. Supreme Court recently struck down a critical section of the Voting Rights Act, which has helped protect this county from racial discrimination in voting since 1965. Because of this decision, the federal government no longer has the power to prevent racially discriminatory election procedures from going into effect.

 

Here in Ohio, we have recently seen many attempts to make it more difficult to vote. During last year’s election, deceptive billboards were placed in minority neighborhoods, and it took a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court to restore early voting the weekend before the election. Just two short months ago, the Ohio legislature tried to restrict the ability of college students to vote from their college campuses. These examples are just some of the important reasons why Congress must act quickly to reinstate the full protections of the Voting Rights Act.

 

The Supreme Court ruled that in order for the federal government to prevent racial discrimination in voting, Congress must set a new standard for determining whether a state or locality should be covered by the Voting Rights Act. Since this pivotal decision, states such as Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Mississippi, many of whom have a history of attempting to enact discriminatory voting practices, have already announced they intend to implement voting laws that will make it more difficult for eligible citizens to vote. Therefore, SWIFT action is necessary by Congress to protect the right to vote.

 

Tell Congress to consider extending section 4 coverage of the Voting Rights Act to include all states that been subject to restrictive voting laws, including Ohio.

Here is what you can do right now to make your voice heard by Congress:

1. Email your Congressperson and ask that the Voting Rights Act formula be fixed now.

I know that the big copyright guys now love to use the term "copyright theft" to describe mere infringement. But if the story presented by Harper Lee, the 87-year-old author of To Kill A Mockingbird, in a new lawsuit is accurate, it appears that she's one of the few actual victims of copyright theft. She's now sued her former literary agent Samuel Pinkus, claiming that he effectively tricked her into signing away her copyright on the work to Pinkus' company, Keystone Literary.

Lee, who has failing eyesight and hearing, was residing in an assisted-living facility in 2007 after suffering a stroke when she signed a document assigning her copyright to Pinkus’s company, according to the complaint. While the copyright was re- assigned to Lee last year after legal action and Pinkus was discharged as Lee’s agent, he was still receiving royalties from the novel as of this year, according to the complaint.

The Lone Ranger Movie--

I finally got around to watching the Lone Ranger Movie and I am glad that I did. I confess, one delay was the fact that I did not know that Johnny Depp had any Native American blood in him. When I first saw the trailers, I wondered how or why a Caucasian American was playing the part of a Native American, until I saw his life story on Biography and found out that he is indeed part Native American, so why not.

There were many hard truths that needed to be told. The railroads made a few greedy business men very very rich at the cost of all too many of their employees lives.  Many of the train employees were Chinese decent.  All too many 'Christians' called them heathens and Right Wing Christian Extremists, still do. I know, I worked for one--she said that the Native Americans got treated how there were treated how they were treated as punishment for being heathens--as if stealing is not stealing if it is being done by a Christian in the name of Jesus. As If The Workman is only worthy of their wages if they can prove beyond any accusation that they are 1000% Christian--then and only then is one hour of work equal to one hour of pay, for those who can not prove it then they can only hope and pray that their work will be rewarded on the whim of the Christian Employer. This is why one should hope and pray to work for a NON-Christian. This is why many of our young people are becoming more and more turned off from Christianity--The Right Wing is making Jesus look uglier and uglier every time they open their mouths in Hate, Intolerance, lying, cheating and stealing.

 

Do other religions have the same problems, probably. But then again, I was born and raised, left, but came back to the Lutheran Denomination--I can and will comment on Christianity, since I am. I can not comment on other religions that I am not. There I am an out-sider, without that right.

 

Extremists do more to convert others away from the Religion that they are sponging than convert to it, regardless whatever that Religion is.  We all have Freedom of Speech, therefore we must learn to agree to disagree.  After all, the United States of America is and always has been a Multi-cultural nation and it is about time all segments get the respect that they deserve. All citizens of the United States have and should have the same rights.  Until, the Republican Party learns that, they will not be honored with the White House.

I am back on-line

I am finally back on-line with a new computer, since the virus I had killed my laptop. So much has happened since I last posted don't know where to start.

Well, a few good things happened while off line  I took the time to go on a road trip to Chicago. The driving was a trip for me, since I was born raised and lived my whole life in one suburb or another. City driving freaked me out!  I will never complain about Ohio Drivers Ever Ever again.

I have made progress with my Science Fiction Novel, tentatively titled 'Archaea' the fictional planet that becomes the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

I have continued studying the Spanish Language.

Who knows one day I will get a digital camera and become able to take my own pictures.

Today, at work, three grouchy old men were sitting and complaining that there are too many minorities living in America. They complained that that was why no Conservative Republican can get elected President--What those bigoted haters need to learn is the reason that no hater should ever be elected President of the U.S. is because the fact is--Yes, we have become a multicultural society. As long as the Republican Party continues the Unholy alliance between Big Business and Religion, they will continue to become more and more the minority. This is so Ironic.  ;-)

Since somehow it seems more than a bit hypocritial that someone like Mark Zuckerberg who is so involved with communications would stop anyone from talking about his activities. Most Especially, when those activities are so distructive.

 

Yes, I am a firm believer in freedom of speech, for one and all, whether they agree with me or not. Most especially not. After all, it is by reading things, hopefully inteligient things that my learning begins.

 

Well, I better keep this short, it will take me at least another 5 days before I get my laptop back and get to spend as long as it takes on-line before I can go back to find more things that inspire me or to support causes or to fillout lengthly applications. Oh, well, thus is life. At least, now I have no excuse not to get more writing on my novel done or more clarinet practice done or more exercising done.
