Subduing the Pain Yourself
Your best bet for easing pain? Try everything. That's right. Research suggests that a multifaceted approach works best for easing the pain of fibromyalgia. Your doctor may recommend medication, but you should also live a healthy lifestyle and investigate additional self-care measures, like these:
Seek the heat. Soaking in a warm tub seems to pull the pain right out of you, doesn't it? And research confirms that warm water -- whether you exercise in a heated pool or just lounge in a warm bath or Jacuzzi -- curbs pain and stiffness for many folks with fibromyalgia. For pain relief on the go, keep moist hot packs at the office or in your travel bag. (Related: Learn more about the pain-relieving power of warm-water exercise.)
Put it on ice. It's not certain whether ice or cold packs can relieve the musculoskeletal pain specific to fibromyalgia. But cold therapy can ease soft tissue pain associated with sports injuries and other rheumatic diseases, so it's worth a try to see whether it works for you.
Rub it on. Applying over-the-counter analgesic ointments has been proved to curb mild pain associated with osteoarthritis, muscle spasms, and sports injuries, so it's another promising self-care strategy worth exploring. Look for one with arnica, winter green, menthol, camphor, or peppermint.

As a person who has worked many physical jobs over the years, especially the one of being Mom. I have had my fair share of backaches, as the result of giving one 'piggy back ride' too many, and as the result of trying to avoid buying a new bed; after the old one got destroyed by being used as a 'wrestling ring'.

Lord, Help me, Jesus to be part of the Global Recovery that is about to happen. After all, I do not believe, I can not believe that God is finished with us, Humanity, yet. One day, some day, God the Father only knows when, but the Book of Revelation will be fulfilled, which is not scary; because it has an happy ending, with the start of eternity. In the meanwhile, we are here to take care of each other and our world.Don’t expect to stay relevant based on your diploma alone.
