Christianists Suck Up Media Attention – Again

By Paul CanningIn an example of Christianist activity, a tiny Christian group is attracting media attention after urging a boycott of Britain’s biggest retailer — and other Christians are saying nothing.
In 2003 the gay, Catholic blogger Andrew Sullivan ‘christened’ the term Christianist to define the minority of protestant Christians who absorb most of the media attention, whether burning Korans or hating on the gays.
Wrote Sullivan:
The number of Christians misrepresented by the Christian right is many.
The term “people of faith” has been co-opted almost entirely in our discourse by those who see Christianity as compatible with only one political party, the Republicans, and believe that their religious doctrines should determine public policy for everyone.
Urban Dictionary defines Christianist as:
A member of the Christian faith who seeks to use a religion of peace and tolerance for political and personal gain.
Like Westboro Baptist Church, the British group the Christian Institute is tiny but its press releases are legion.t is calling for a boycott of Tesco, the UK’s biggest retailer, this Christmas in protest at a comment about “evil Christians” made by an employee on Flickr three years ago.
Head of research and development for the Tesco website, Nick Lansley, wrote on the photo website Flickr in 2008:
I’m campaigning against evil Christians (that’s not all Christians, just bad ones) who think that gay people should not lead happy lives and get married to their same-sex partners.
Following complaints the remark was removed.
The Christian Institute is only now protesting about Mr Lansley’s comment at the same time as it is objecting to a drink “degradingly called ‘p***y natural energy” being sold as a limited edition by the chain.
Christian Institute Director Colin Hart said:
I won’t be shopping at Tesco this Christmas, and I am repeatedly hearing from other Christians who have already come to the same conclusion.
Mr Lansley is entitled to his opinions, and Christians are entitled to choose not to shop at Tesco.
Mr Hart also criticised Tesco for reducing the amount of money it gives to Cancer Research UK — although five pence from the sale of each can of the drink the Institute objects to goes to the charity — and giving £30,000 (US$ 47,000) to the annual LGBT festival Pride London to fund a family area.

The intolerance of 'Social Conservatives' is an other cause that this blog seeks to fight against. After all, my former supervisor Ethel 'Jane' as the owner (Lora) older sister and whom I had served under for far too long, whose hatred for all others who fell short of  'Their Glory' could be felt and tasted. After all, it was a job and could not afford to quit. After all, I did not have a prayer of convincing Lora that her old sister could do any wrong. After all, Lora is Jane' s one and only disciple.
If only there was a way to discribe the way these 'Holy Ghost Pain In The Asses' (after all, we are talking about a 60+ year old and a 50+ year old--not children--So Lora could have spoken up at any time-IF she chose to stop and do the honest thing) used and abused people all in the Name of Jesus, one because 'She knew that she knew'--the other, because if my older sister said so then it must be so.
After all, I remember hearing 'Jane' on the cell phone telling Lora to 'Take  (Pam, Robert, John, Melody among others) for what they are worth". After all, 'By the authority of the Holy Spirit' Jane had 'discerned'(judged) that they were 'Witches' or 'Warlocks' depending on gender. As if only 'Christians' earn an hour of pay for an hour of work. Others (judged guilty) the question becomes how Many hourS of work does it to even come close to an hour of pay--causing many to quit, which Jane would call Justifiable--even though if Jane got convince that someone lied to her then she would have a fit that if they lied then they would also steel and worse: HOWEVER the lies that Jane told or the lies that she told Lora to tell were always Justifiable--"Because you/I/we got to do what you/I /we got to do".
The worst part for me personally for working under Jane and I do mean under, because she did Lord over employees and tell her younger sister, Lora-how to run Lora's company and treat Lora's people: because of her age and her position of power, which she used and abused to the max. After all, I may never forget the trouble that I got Sr. Pastor Young of St Paul Lutheran Church (where we once cleaned) into, since it is far tooo coincidental. Let me start from the beginning--This began when I was in the church office where Pastor Young and his secretaries were talking about the movie--Inception, which was playing at the time. I joined in on the conversation, since I saw the movie and also enjoyed it. When I left to clean other areas, Jane asked me what we were talking about and I made the mistake of telling her. Immediately, she condemned the movie as 'Witchcraft', the next time that I was told to clean Pastor Young' s office, Jane made the point of calling him--Mister Young as if Jane had the Authority to dis-Ordain him from being a Pastor of Jesus Christ.
