Enough Is Enough--2013 The Year of Gun Safety/ Gun Sanity Comes To the United States of America.

Dear Reader, I am passing on this e-mail with the hope that together with Care2--Gun Safety will come to the United States.

More than 35,000 Care2 members have demanded a plan to end gun violence. Thank you so much for being one of them.

Many of us thought that the Newtown tragedy was so appalling that Congress might finally be shocked into action, but it has yet to show its commitment to ending gun violence.

Will you help show Congress that we demand action by asking your friends to sign the petition too?

President Obama promised he would try to end this violence. Promises are not enough. We need action.

Comprehensive legislation could help prevent tragedies like Newtown from happening again but only if it actually passes. The powerful gun lobby has already tried to drown out the voices of Americans like you and me who are standing up against their dangerous agenda.
We need a critical mass of voices to show Congress that Americans support gun control.

That's why it's crucial that you send an email to your friends and family, share the petition on Facebook, and send this tweet asking your network to support the cause.

Here's a quick message you can copy and send to rally support:
After all, I have to confess--I blog far more than I e-mail, but I have dedicated this blog as my way of leaving the world a better place--part of that is leaving it a safer place--I wish I could say that the Tragedy at Newtown, Conn. was the last, But God only knows how many shooting has happened since then. After all, shooting are so regular that they rarely get reported anymore, unless there are enough deaths to make the news or some other reason for the shooting to become news worthy. After all, if the news reported each and every time there was a shooting where only one person was shot then the news program would highly likely have no time for anything else or would have to be expanded.
Hi -

Like many other Americans, I have had enough of the endless tragedies caused by gun violence. Congress works for us, the American people, and it's time our representatives pass comprehensive gun control legislation to prevent more people from dying senselessly.

Aurora, Tucson, Virginia Tech, Columbine, and Newtown are tragedies that could have been avoided. That's why I signed this petition to demand a plan to end gun violence and I'm hoping you will too.
