Dear Readers, I got, so I am passing it on. Personally, as an older worker, I can relate to this article. After all, Dare I confess, next week will be my 51st Birthday. I am all to quickly-it feels like, that I am becoming one of the 'old ladies' of the family--once upon a time, I was the youngest Grandchild of all the Grandchildren, but now I am a member of AARP.

We just posted an article, “6 Reasons Why Hiring an Older Worker Is a Smart Investment” (http://www.onlinebusinessdegree.org/2012/08/07/6-reasons-why-hiring-an-older-worker-is-a-smart-investment/). I thought I'd drop a quick line and let you know in case you thought it was something your audience would be interested in reading.

Thanks!
Jay

In the new book, "The Party Is Over," veteran Republican Mike Lofgren writes about the rise of politicized religious fundamentalism and how the GOP devolved into anti-intellectual nuts. READ MORE»

What is even worst than that--This is also How the Republican Party is Destroying the Church of Jesus Christ. After all, as I have written before of how the previous church that I was once a member of and went back to attending--went from filling up to emptying out because the Pastor got so excited that he read from what sounded like the Republican Platform instead of the Holy Bible to a congregation of Democrats. After all, the church was in Bedford, Ohio of Cuyahoga County--Cuyahoga County only one of the most if not the most Democratic County in Ohio.

The gunman in the shooting at a Sikh temple over the weekend has been labeled a potential domestic terrorist— defined as one who incites politically-motivated violence against his or her own country. In Wade Michael Page’s case, that political motivation was likely white supremacy, a growing problem in the United States.  READ MORE!!!

IF ONLY THIS WAS NOT Proven to be true--IF ONLY.  WHAT WE NEED IS A RETURN TO COMPASSION, TOLERANCE, CIVILITY--THE CIVILITY THAT ENDED WITH THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT. THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT THAT HAS HI-JACKED THE Republican Party and too many Christian Churches--THAT DOES MORE TO SPREAD HATE, INTOLERANCE--BY ACTING AS JUDGE, JURY AND EXECUTIONERS OF HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHICH BIBLICALLY THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY  TO DO.
I also have bitter experience here to which I have written about many times in the past--of a previous employer and her sister, who claimed to be so Full of the Holy Spirit that they could discern  a person 'guilty' of 'Witchcraft' by some of the most flimsy of evidence--such as a Caucasian Woman dating an African-American Man or a young worker who did more texting that talking on cellphone--The worst part was the bosses had power of the paycheck which they used against workers who were 'discerned' to be guilty of something--which was why it felt more like Judgment than 'discernment' and the Execution part came Economically.--the many times I over heard them on their cellphones--with agreement to "Take them for what they were worth" AS IF a Worker was only Worthy of their Wages IF THEY COULD PROVE BEYOND ANY SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT THEY LOVED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WITH EVERY CELL OF THEIR BEING BY BEING AS REPUBLICAN AS THEY WERE AND AS FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIAN AS THEY WERE. IF NOT then there were paycheck 'games' as punishment--for a 'Witch' or 'Warlock' just because work was done that did not guarantee that pay would be received from these Holy Ghost Filled Christian Bosses without a fight for it--WHICH IS HOW AND WHY THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT WILL SPELL THE END OF CHRISTIANITY--BY TAKING THE LOVE AND COMPASSION AND TRUE FAIRNESS OUT OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

P.S.--> As long as I am on a Rant--I should also include the Fight for our Environment--a.k.a. Fighting for our lives and for the lives of our children and grandchildren and their grandchildren's lives.

Dear Reader,I am also including this e-mail from the Sierra Club:

Last night's refinery fire is more proof that it's time to move beyond oil.
Last night, the third-largest oil refinery in California suffered an explosion and fire, sending toxic clouds across the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are thankful that refinery workers and the brave first responders suffered only minor injuries -- but more than 350 residents have been treated for respiratory problems and vomiting.

A Chevron spokesperson said they're sorry for "inconveniencing our neighbors." Yet this is not the first time something like this has happened at the Richmond refinery -- it is at least the fifth. 1, 2

It's time to move beyond oil. Will you let your friends know that you're sick of Big Oil's spin machine, and share this image on Facebook and Twitter? If you're not on Facebook or Twitter, forwarding this email to your friends and family will make the same impact.

Chevron insists the plant is safe -- but other incidents in 1993, 1999, 2006, and 2007 have already sent thousands of people to the hospital. And no matter what Chevron says, watching your children become violently ill because someone else wants to make a profit is not just an "inconvenience."

Whether it's yesterday's explosions in California or last month's pipeline spills in Wisconsin and Canada, our families have had enough of Big Oil's PR. We need clean air and green transportation -- not toxic smoke clouds that send our kids to the hospital.

For nearly twenty years, our allies on the ground in California have stood up to Big Oil and fought the Richmond refinery's pollution. Groups like Global Community Monitor, Communities for a Better Environment, the Asian Pacific Environmental Network, and the West County Toxics Coalition have held Chevron accountable in court, brought attention to the area's environmental injustices, and pushed the EPA to regulate hydrogen sulfide, one of the major toxins released in fires like these. They've also stopped Chevron from expanding the refinery to process toxic tar sands oil.

We are proud to stand by our friends in the fight for clean air, clean energy, and safer communities. Share this image on Facebook or Twitter, or forward this email to five or more friends and neighbors today.

Thanks for all you do to protect our environment,

Michael Marx
