Gun Sanity to Save Lives.

How do background checks on gun sales work?
 Watch this video

Washington (CNN) -- A central part of the gun legislation Congress is expected to take up this week is the idea of expanded background checks on gun purchases. But few Americans understand how background checks actually work.
Leaders from both sides of the aisle -- and an overwhelming number of Americans in national opinion polls -- support expanded background checks before the purchase of guns. But when it comes to specifics, the divide shows....Read More and Hopefully watch the video too.
After all, the video brings up a very very very good point, that background checks are only the beginning. After all, the real problem is how much hate and anger is building up here in the United States and around the world. Some how, Some way, we need to learn how to live together and peacefully agree to disagree, instead of yelling and screaming at each other. And above all, without Fear!!!

This is why I get so very very angry at the Christian Extremists who are turning the Church of Jesus Christ From being the Solution and the Salvation INTO  Being the Problem and the Source of the Evil.

But, it is a necessary start, which is why We Must Stop The NRA's campaign of playing up on scared people fears.  But, sadly, so many profit by Fear-Mongering, from the NRA to Conservative Churches, who use Emotionally Charged Words to Hijack their Followers Amygala, in order to have the Reptile Brain of their followers being the one in charge instead of the much higher human brain, who might dare question what they are saying--Instead of being to Afraid or Angry to do anything other than following this would be leader or worst, Pastor.

  NRA's fight

Editor's note: On Wednesday, CNN TV and CNN.com are taking an in-depth look at "Guns Under Fire: A CNN Special Report on Background Checks." John J. Donohue is C. Wendell and Edith M. Carlsmith professor of law at Stanford Law School and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
(CNN) -- In a new poll, Americans indicated that they support universal background checks by a margin of 91% to 8%. Even in households with guns, the margin was an overwhelming 88% to 11%.
"We think it's reasonable to provide mandatory instant criminal background checks for every sale at every gun show. No loopholes anywhere for anyone." Did President Barack Obama say that? No, that's from an advertisement taken out by the NRA in USA Today in 1999....Read More.

That does sound interesting, I work nights, so I will have to record that and watch it tomorrow. After all, my temper is all to easily triggered, the last thing that I need to have happen, is to let my temper get triggered before I go to bed, then I am too amped up on adrenalin to sleep. That is why I am very careful what I do and watch before bedtime.

I am sorry that I could not find a petition to pass on, but I did find this, there are many who are working on solving our Gun Violence problem, who need and deserve more attention so that they can inspire us all to do more.  Ending with Good News, is even better than ending with a petition... :-)

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - The violin is new to Shaina Daniel, 16, of Lake Worth.
She says she's from a tough part of town.
Two of her cousins were shot last year. One in Suburban West Palm Beach and another in Boynton Beach.
