Happy Resurrection Sunday/ Passover

At the Lutheran Church where I am a member, our Song of the Day was--> Now All the Vault of Heaven Resounds

Now all the vault of heav'n resounds in praise of love abounds:
"Christ has triumphed! He is living!"
Sing, choirs of angels, loud and clear!
Repeat their song of glory here:
"Christ has triumphed! He is living!"
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Eternal is the gift he brings, therefore our heart with rapture sings:
"Christ has triumphed! He is living!"
Now still he comes to give us life and by his presence still all strife.
"Christ has triumphed! He is living!"
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Oh, fill us, Lord, with dauntless love;
set heart and will on things above that we conquer through your triumph;
grant grace sufficient for life's day that by our lives we truly say:
"Christ has triumphed! He is living!"
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Adoring praises now we bring and with the heav'nly blessed sing:
"Christ has triumphed! Alleluia!"
Be to the Father, and our Lord, to Spirit blest, most holy God,
all the glory, never ending!
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Our Pre-Communion song was-->  Come to the Table
Come to the table of mercy, prepared with the wine and the bread.
All who are hungry and thirsty, come, and your souls will be fed.
Come at the Lord's invitation; receive from His nail-scarred hand.
Eat of the bread of salvation; drink of the blood of the Lamb.

And then there is my personal favorite hymn--> Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
 God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye made blind by sin they glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow'r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity

Happy and Blessed Passover for all who celebrate Passover.
       Happy and Blessed Easter for all who celebrate it.

By the way, I picked that picture of Jesus, even though it is probably the least biblical of all the paintings of Jesus, But It is the one that I have the fondest memories of . After all, as long as I remember the old house that I grew up in and lived in for the longest time. One memory that I will always have--is this picture hanging above my late-Father's chair in the corner of the living room.
