Doesn’t it seem like every day there is a new health or environmental concern about “fracking”?
Please donate today to support our work on fracking and other issues! And if you donate by joining our Green Giving Club, we will send you a free OEC tote bag.
Fracking, as you may know, is short for high-volume, horizontal hydraulic fracturing. It is a relatively new drilling technology that uses high-pressure injections of water, sand, and up to 1 million pounds of chemicals per well to break up rocks to release oil or gas from tight underground sources.
The OEC and our partners are calling for a moratorium on fracking until the U.S. EPA's fracking study is completed and Ohio can ensure that human health and the environment are protected.

The bottom line is that until proven safe, the risks of fracking are just too great! Please donate now!
