"Requiring employees to attend a Mitt Romney political rally without pay is totally unacceptable. I urge you to conduct a thorough investigation to determine whether Murray Energy violated any federal laws on August 14th, and to hold it fully accountable if it did."

Could a coal company fire workers for refusing to attend a Mitt Romney campaign event?
Dear Readers, I am passing this e-mail on for 2 reasons one that these workers could get justice for the ill treatment of having their Freedom of Choice of whom to support taken away from them and second as a wake up call for those who would mistakenly 'befriend' either Romney or Ryan or worse both of these users and abusers;
"We do not appreciate being intimidated into exchanging our time for nothing." — Murray Energy coal miner.1
On August 14th, Mitt Romney stood behind a podium that said "Coal Country Stands with Mitt" with hundreds of coal miners flanking him and delivered a speech attacking President Obama's so-called "War on Coal."
There's only one problem: The miners were forced to attend the rally without pay by their employer, Ohio-based Murray Energy. Several of the miners have now contacted a West Virginia radio station, saying they feared they would be fired if they refused to be used as props in Mitt Romney's campaign rally.2
Forcing Ohio workers to participate in a political rally is unacceptable, so we're joining our friends at SEIU in calling on the U.S. Department of Labor to conduct an investigation to determine whether or not any federal laws were broken.3
Incredibly, Murray Energy owner Robert Murray is trying to blame his company's assault on workers' rights on a misunderstanding, nonsensically claiming that "attendance was mandatory but no one was forced to attend the event."3 Murray also told media outlets that the coal mine where the August 14th rally took place was closed that day at the request of the Secret Service — a claim the Romney campaign flatly denies.4
This isn't the first time Murray Energy has been in the national spotlight for failing to treat workers with the respect they deserve. In 2007, six coal miners and three rescue workers were tragically killed when a Murray Energy mine in Utah collapsed. The Murray subsidiary that operated the mine was later fined more than $1.6 million for repeated safety violations.5
Murray Energy is also a major Republican donor, giving $900,000 to Republican candidates in recent years.6
But what's most important here is that the rights of hundreds of coal miners were violated for political purposes. We need to hold Murray Energy accountable for its assault on workers' rights.

Thank you for standing up for workers' rights in Ohio.

After all, I can say that I know for a fact that Conservative PAC's Do Lie because most recently I caught a Conservative PAC IN A LIE--When I received a phone call that was most likely originally meant for my Late Father--These 'Birther's' HAD THE NERVE TO CLAIM among other things  THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS A CONNECTICUT STATE ISSUED SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, WHEN IN FACT ALL SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS ARE ISSUED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ONLY--I KNOW THAT AS A FACT BECAUSE NOT LONG AGO MY YOUNGER SON GOT HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE WHICH WAS MADE MORE COMPLICATED BY THE FACT THAT HE LOST HIS SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND HAD TO BE REISSUED ONE.
