And Why Standing Beside Unions, such as the Chicago Teachers Union Is So Important.

The Chicago Teachers Union is now in the second week of their first strike in 25 years. The 29,000 teachers and school workers were forced to take this dramatic action after Mayor Rahm Emanuel repeatedly refused to communicate with the teacher's union.

Mayor Emanuel refuses to support teachers and demands they do more work for less money. Teachers have been continuously vilified despite their work to educate, support and nurture children.
