Sunday Morning's Call for Social Justice

"Jesus, Friend Of Sinners"By Casting Crowns

Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners

Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

Yeah...

Jesus, friend of sinners, the one who's writing in the sand

Made the righteous turn away and the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember we are all the least of these
Let the memory of Your mercy bring Your people to their knees
Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs crossed over the lines and loved like You did

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners

Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

You love every lost cause; you reach for the outcast

For the leper and the lame; they're the reason that You came
Lord I was that lost cause and I was the outcast
But you died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

'Cause You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever

You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever

Oh Jesus, friend of sinners

Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks Yours

And I was the lost cause and I was the outcast

Yeah...
You died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

I was listening to the radio on my way to church this morning and this song came on and touched my heart and mind so very much that I just had to share it here. Most especially, since we Christians do the most harm to Jesus Reputation-far more than anyone and every one else. Most especially--"Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided"

And very much including-" Jesus, friend of sinners, the one who's writing in the sand
Made the righteous turn away and the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember we are all the least of these
Let the memory of Your mercy bring Your people to their knees
Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs crossed over the lines and loved like You did"

After all, after the Resurrection, Did Jesus not ask Peter 3 times--Do you love me--which Jesus followed all 3 times with--Then feed my sheep/lambs. So is not feeding the hungry and doing good far more important than passing judgment on each other and on others--Believers of every other faith.

Which is also Why I am passing these on for you consideration--Thank You

Dear Reader, I am passing this e-mail on to you since I am most active on this blog--this is my method of sharing along with Facebook and Pinterest, but first and foremost this blog;

Thank you for supporting the South Carolina mother Loretta Robinson, who was burdened with ridiculous charges associated with the tragic car crash that killed her son.

Please share this story and help Loretta Robinson grieve in peace. »

Robinson’s son, Justin Walker, was not found at fault for the crash. The other driver involved, an undocumented immigrant with no driver’s license, pled guilty just weeks ago. But Robinson still faces large fees, including the cleanup of her son’s blood off of the road, the storage of the damaged car, and the towing of the car from the scene of the accident.

Please, tell your friends. You can send your friends a message with our tell-a-friend tool, post the petition to your Facebook profile, tweet it or copy and send the sample message below:

Hi,
Since Loretta Robinson lost her son in a fatal car accident, Robinson has been faced with inappropriate fines relating to her son’s death.

http://www.care2.com/go/z/e/AGTs4/zMEF/Bvckf

Robinson is expected to pay for the cleanup of her son’s blood from the road, the storage of the damaged car, and the towing of the car that took place after the accident. She is still facing the emotional distress of losing a son, a crisis that makes it hard for Robinson to work, let alone pay excess fees associated with the accident.
Her son was not at fault for the accident, as the other driver involved plead guilty in court. Robinson should not be burdened with such outrageous fees regarding her innocent son’s death.
Tell Greenville, South Carolina to rightfully reimburse Loretta Robinson!.
