Let Us Grow, Together.

Encore Careers

Dear Reader, I am passing this on because many of us older workers are older, but yet either too young to retire yet and/or cannot afford to stop working, yet.
If you’re one of the 31 million people ages 44 to 70 who would like to find an encore career combining purpose, passion and a paycheck, Encore.org can help.
Encore.org isn’t a job matching service, but we have compiled and recently updated a hefty list of websites and resources that we hope will help you get started.
Take a look: www.encore.org/work/ joblistings

Here’s what you’ll find:
  • Ten links to websites that list a wide range of job openings.
  • Links to job boards that focus on health care, nonprofit, green, education and government jobs. (Look for these on the right side of the page.)
  • Tips on using LinkedIn and other social media sites to find an encore career.
  • A podcast with careers expert Marci Alboher on how to search for work with meaning.
I hope you’ll visit today and forward this email to others who have told you they’d like to have an encore career for the greater good but just don’t know where to start.

Please let me know what you find helpful – and what you’d like to see more of on the job listings page.
We’re working to make Encore.org your first stop on what we hope will be a fulfilling and important journey.
Take care,

"Monsanto will now be able to point the blame away from chemicals used in GMO food production. And to make matters worse, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) may begin to use this bogus research, which will encourage other companies to fund and manipulate research as well."
"It is imperative that we find the real reasons why the bee population is declining."
Take action today. Together we can stop the USDA from utilizing research funded by Monsanto! »
Upon discovering research that identified pesticides as a leading contributor to declining bee populations, Monsanto, a major producer of genetically modified foods, decided to simply buy out Beelogic, the research company. Put a stop to this manipulation of research! »

After all, without bees, there will be many types of food will stop growing that will lead to that much less food for a growing population. Do we not already have too much hunger and starvation as is. The last thing that the growing Human population needs is even less food.  We need to save our agricultural ally for our own sake.  This is a matter of self preservation.

After all, whether it is a new and better job or maintaining our environment or maintaining our food supply.  Each family that moves up out of poverty  to high up in the Middle Class rank and every thing in between is go for the community . . . city . . . state . . . country . . . Global Economy.

After all, with a Global Economy, we are all in good times or bad times together.

Missouri Republicans Fight To Stop Women From Entering Politics

Missouri Republicans Fight To Stop Women From Entering PoliticsAs more politicians continue to promote anti-women policies both locally and nationally, one suggestion that has been made to combat their efforts is a simple one — get more women elected to politics.  Women legislators are the best ones to know how these oppressive policies will really effect women in the real world, and would be the most likely to fight against them being made law.
Unfortunately, Missouri has caught on.  To nip that problem in the bud, the state legislature has a simple solution.  Cut off access to programs that can help women get into government.
According to the Kansas City Star, “The Missouri House has passed legislation aimed at shutting down an institute that trains women for roles in government and politics. The measure, approved Monday night by a 93-59 vote, targets the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.”

And, Yet, There are Many Republicans that Claim that there is no War on Women' Rights, that that is Left-Wing Propaganda.  The question becomes--IF This Is Not A War On Women's Rights--Then What Is This??? I dare any Republican to read this and still say that there is NO WAR BEING WAGED AGAINST WOMEN'S RIGHTS BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY--I DOUBLE DARE--COME ON REPUBLICANS CLIMB OUT FROM UNDER THAT ROCK YOU ARE HIDING UNDER--READ THIS--AND STILL SAY THAT THERE IS NO WAR ON WOMEN'S RIGHTS.

This is yet another reason why we Independents must unite with the Democrats to save our country from the Republican Party.
